Three Quick Sewing Tips

Three quick sewing tips for any newbies out there or those returning to sewing:

1. Need to find a local sewing shop or course? Check out The Sewing Directory!

2. What is bias binding? It’s a narrow strip of fabric that is used on the edges of necklines, quilts, placemats and armholes. It is cut on the bias/cross-grain, which makes it way stretchier and therefore easier to work with. You can make your own or pick it up from any sewing or haberdashery shop.

3. Make sure you have plenty of light when working on a sewing project, so that you can clearly see what you're doing!
